The prospect of Barack Obama as president will change how the world sees America. I do not underestimate the power of his candidacy. Black kids will look at other black kids differently. White kids will look at black kids differently (and vice versa). The fundamental belief that anything is possible in America will be so real that people will dream different dreams while on the same bed. The ceiling above our dreams will be removed that there will be no more impossible dreams under the sun...and that's good particularly for my son who is half black, half white. That's a good thing for my husband who is white, it's a good thing for my neighbors who are Indian...it's a good thing for you...it's good for our society...it's a good thing for my America, the land of the brave.
"Understand that the right to choose your own path is a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility" - Oprah Winfrey.
2.
Obama seems to be driven by integrity. By nature and based on his policies, Obama is a progressive who believes in reform, open and transparent governance, and empowering the people. Hillary doesn't strike me to be a strong agent of change and integrity. She gives me a sense of business as usual, DLC corporatist and concealment. (Remember: she said in Chicago that we shouldn't always say what we think...also remember the GQ magazine story that her campaign pushed to kill?)...hum... I may be wrong, but I doubt it.
"To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right" - Confucius.
3.
Obama believes that we should talk to our adversaries; Obama's willingness to compromise with others' ways of living and cooperation in common tasks will make living happy and fruitful. In contrast, Hillary is for the continuation of the "Bush-Cheney" foreign policy. Hillary believes that it is naïve and irresponsible to be willing to talk to our adversaries.
"If you wish to make a man your enemy, tell him simply, "You are wrong." This method works every time, and if you want to make peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies" - Moshey Dayan.
4.
Obama displayed a good judgment in opposing the dump war in Iraq in 2002. Hillary authorized the war and argued on a senate floor that her vote was based on her "experience" in the Whitehouse. Well, based on result, isn't it fair to say that her experience did not do her any good? She has since refused to apologize for her vote or even call it a mistake. We're all human and we do make mistake - I believe she should apologize for her vote after all, a life without an apology is not worth living.
"Good judgment and Maturity are achieved when a person postpones immediate pleasures for long-term values and never run an apology with an excuse - Kimberly Johnson

The prospect of Obama in the Whitehouse brings excitement. Obama has a much more powerful intellect, is more charismatic and has a better personality and a good family man. He tells us to put all excuses aside and remind us what we are capable. He said ordinary people just like you and I can do ordinary things. I believe him when he says the world as it is not the world as it should be. This assertion is not just true in politics, but also in real life. When you weary and broken hearted, doesn't it feel good to hear those words? It doesn't hurt to have a president who every now and then encourages and tells us to believe again. In contrast, not just Hillary, but other candidates as well suffer an enthusiasm gap. Hillary portrays a personality of being too screechy, preachy and controlling and I am afraid that her policies will have a little byte of her character.
"A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm. - Francois Pierre Guillaume
6.
Obama believes that the key to accomplishment is to get the American people motivated, around a common purpose (Black, White, Asian, Latino, Democrats, Republican and Independent). Obama believes that a house divided against itself cannot stand. In contrary, Hillary advocates divisiveness, the blue-red states mantra and "the right wing machine mentality". I don't know about you but its depressing to hear that mantra.
"There is no liberal America, or a conservative America, there is the United States of America...We are one people" - Barack Obama
7.
Obama does not take Washington lobbyist money, but Hillary does and has refused to stop taking lobbyist money. Obama and Edwards attacked her on it and Hillary refused to stop taking it. If Clinton wants to defend the right of lobbyists to engage in legal corruption, by all means, she should go right ahead but she and her supporters shouldn't think that it doesn't make a lot of people throw up a little in their mouth.
"Greed will kill us all...It's not how much you have that makes people look up to you, it's who you are.'' -- Elvis Presley
8.
With Obama, we don't have a choice to vote for the lesser of two evil. Unlike other presidential candidates, Obama vowed to always be truthful to us. He is not just bound to win; he is bound to be true. Obama is not bound to succeed, but to live by the light he has. Obama is not perfect, but by his nature and character, Obama is willing to stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him /her while he /she is right, and part with you when you go wrong.
9. Obama called on us to hope. He tells us not to let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes, our dreams. The hope of a slave sitting in a fire place singing a freedom song.
10.
Abraham Lincoln once said, this country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it. As an American who is longing for change, my concern today is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right. And I hope that Obama will strive to be on Gods side, for God is always right.
People who love their county can change it. We have the power to make a change. And to change the world, we must be the change we wish to see.
"We got to make a change...It's time for us as a people to start making some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we got to do to survive
There is war on the streets & the war in the Middle East. Instead of war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me. Don't let them jack you up, back you up, crack you up and pimp smack you up. You got to learn to hold ya own....Tupac
Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton...that's not change...Some things got to change!
A fair number of people here have expressed disdain on my recent diary entitled "Obama & Hillary".
The same way sex sells; I realize that a "hit piece diary" can generate 53 comments. Just like a fish bait, you did not stop dropping your comments.
Few comments were nice, but most of them were nasty! Even those who have help to authorize the war in Iraq did not get these sarcastic and despicable comments.
In any event, here is version 2.0 entitled "Obama & Hillary...Let Me Scratch That".
During the Iowa democratic presidential debate last Thursday; Hillary Clinton once again claimed to have the "experience" to lead.
Well, unfortunately for Hillary, she will not lead on day 1, 2, 2, 4,......999999999999...99
Based on results, her leadership and experience aren't for squad! She is the co-author of this biggest foreign policy disaster in our generation, she failed back then to demonstrate the quality of judgment required to be president. Some would say that she was fooled by George Bush. Perhaps, but if George Bush can fool her that easily, is there more to expect from her when she meets with smart war leaders?
But wait, based on result, she's used to be fooled and lack the basic judgement. She reminds me of Shennel, a beautiful moon light girl from the ghetto who keeps having babies with many men and never learn her lesson.
Hillary and Shennel maybe different, but they both have something in common. Lack of good quality judgment.
Now that brings me the life and times of Norman Hsu, the Hong-Kong native, now fugitive who fooled Hillary Clinton -
Matthew Mosk writes in the Washingtonpost.com, (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail
/2007/09/21/hsu_still_a_hillraiser_at_le
as.html),that when it was first suggested, at the end of August, the Hsu had bundled checks from an odd collection of donors, Hillary Clinton campaign stood loyally behind the top donor. [Poor judgment]
The following day, when it became clear Hsu had spent 15 years fleeing a criminal past; the campaign distanced itself from Hsu, announcing it would give his direct donations to charity. And when Hsu's business ventures began to fall under suspicion, the campaign dumped Hsu and the $850,000 he bundled for them, telling news outlets they had been duped, just as had scores of other politicians.
Now the Post reported that the Justice department has unsealed a criminal complaint against Hsu, detailing alleged campaign finance abuses and what they alleged to be a $60 million Ponzi scheme.
But one step the campaign has not taken is to remove Hsu from its official list of Hillraisers. As of this morning, his name still appeared there.
Before casting your vote, you should be asking yourself where her leadership is and judgment in all this is "saletés".
-----------
In contrast Obama has approached his campaign as an opportunity to build a movement -- a movement based in communities around issues that matter.
Obama is straightforward, and is clearly about a lot more than his own ego. Unlike John Edwards, Obama hasn't had to "move to the left" or discover that he was wrong about Iraq. Obama didn't discover unions and the rift between rich and poor after losing an election in 2004.
Unlike Hillary Clinton, Obama has been consistently solid on the key issues --by the way, do we really need a second Clinton presidency, framed by lots of hype, which delivers so little in the way of progressive legislation, and so much to Wall St?
Unlike Hillary, Obama speaks about his candidacy, and even his possible election as president, as part of the launching of a new movement to change America.
Ladies and Gentlemen, there are two ways that we can look at next year's election.
(1)We can look at it as an opportunity to stop the endless mudslide of domestic and foreign disasters that have darkened our horizons during the Bush years.
(2)We can look to elect a president who not only looks different, but who thinks and acts differently, a progressive champion who boldly reasserts government's role as protector and up-lifter of the people at home, and who can reinvent American foreign policy as a force for peace, not coercive power, across the globe.
We need a candidate and a president, who understands that he cannot succeed unless the people are standing alongside him -- ahead of the powerbrokers and money guys -- ready to help enforce their collective will.
At some point, a true leader is a person who builds consensus.
A real leader should say, "Hey, let's come together and have a plan around a common purpose. A real leader gets surrounded by smart and intelligent people, including his wife, that want him to succeed. A real leader carves out his position where everybody has some sense of belonging, acceptance and a sense of contribution, a sense of value. They do not have a sense of being demine.
There is no question that Barack Obama is such a candidate and such a leader.
Hillary is free to run her mouth all day long, But one thing I know for sure, "Nobody can stand in the way of destiny".
Nothing is going to change unless we put an end to this damn war...
During the Iowa democratic presidential debate last Thursday; Hillary Clinton once again claimed to have the "experience" to lead, and lead on day one.
Well, we all know after you have won anything, you don't lead on day one. I don't know about you, but my experience tells me that on day one, we party, we're generous on day one. Some people call their long gone friends, ex girl friends just to say hello. When you move to an apartment, we settle on day one,we don't lead.
And unfortunately for Hillary, she will not lead on day 1, 2, 2, 4,......999999999999...99
Based on result, her leadership and experience aren't for squad! Some would say that she was fooled by George Bush. Perhaps, but if George Bush can fool her that easily, is there more to expect from her when she meets with smart war leaders?
But George Bush was not the only person who fooled her. Bill Clinton fooled her many times, and the last I can remember was with Monica Lewinsky, the famous Whitehouse intern.
But Monica Lewinsky was not the only person. There is a new story about Bill Clinton fooling around with a Canadian politician /billionnaire Belinda Stronach. Most of this story was written during the time she [Belinda Stronach] was running for the leadership of Canada's Conservative Party.
After she lost the leadership race, she was elected an MP and became a member of the opposition cabinet. She basically did next to nothing there, and then jumped ship to the Liberals just in time to prevent the most corrupts government from falling. They made her a government Minister (just by coincidence, really) at the same time. Again she did nothing there and in a few months they fell anyway and she was expected to run for the Liberal leadership, but showed her first sign of intelligence by keeping out of it.

Barrack Obama is terrific candidate for the presidency. He has all the credentials, the charm and the tools needed to win this election. But my gut tells me, he will not win the nomination unless he starts being rough, and stop pretending that we, the people are smart and ready to make a clean and good judgment.
American Politic was never so personal to me, and I am sure some of you reading this note feel the same way. Since Obama came out to the "OPEN", I started to make plan to be man, a leader, a hope monger. Prior, there were two kinds of light in my life--the glow that illumines, and the glare that obscures.
Through his message of hope, and the world as it should be, Barrack Obama made it possible for me again to change. Senator, I am giving you all I got, and I will resent you if you don't win this nomination because there is no reason to fail.
I believe in my ethics and my integrity and I will tell Obama what I think is wrong with his campaign strategy. But he keeps on making the same mistake over and over. One would think that he's running for Dean for the University of Chicago. He assumes we, the people, have the judgment to tell the difference between him and Hillary.
Let me remind him: We, the people voted for George Bush for a second term in office. That speaks volume Mr. Obama. We, the people, do not have the judgment. We are not leaders, but we are followers, and part of it because it's much safer to obey than to rule. The American people want someone who can lead and tell us what to do. We like the sound of freedom of choice, yet we still want someone to make decisions on our behalf and to tell us why, how and who to vote for.
Some people may vote for you because you're a Christian man. Others will vote because of your integrity and ethics; and others will vote for you simply because of your strong family values. You are twice blessed to have strong women in your life: your wife and your mother. Your wife Michelle has strong traditional values, and as far as we know, you have a "clean" family totally different from the Clintons mess.
If I was writing your semi annual performance evaluation, I will not hesitate to comment that you simply don't get it. "Obama is a good employee and have a lot to offer, but I would not recommend him for promotion yet simply because he doesn't get it".
The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. Obama should do so by emphasis on his Family values, Ethics, Integrity, Christian values, etc. The Christian value alone led George Bush to the white house, and the last time I checked, is it that where Obama wants to live?
